Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. Daily morning synchronisation and greeting, with thematic stimuli, movement work, reflection and announcements.We meet at ease, define the present day and commence it with clarity and presence of mind.

Our café-bar is open from 8am on weekdays, offering a wide range of warm and cold organic drinks.
In honour of the Tasty-Peace-Week, the following are on offer: a selection of regional, plant-based milk alternatives, completely–vegan baked goods, sweet and savoury spreads, a warm breakfast porridge and Lupin Coffee, not as widely travelled as its big bean-sister!
We present the culinary delights prepared in the cookery course and eat at table together with hoteliers, volunteers and residents.

Our fundamentals course is informative, answers outstanding questions and shows new directions.
We dive into the world of plant-based cooking and draw from its bulging baskets to prepare meals that indulge the body and soul.

We prepare colourful spreads: from legumes to vegetables, from the quick and easy to the sophisticated, and tour through the world of seasoning and spices.
We also bake different types of breads to combine with the spreads.

The Consumption of Animal Foodstuffs Between Pleasure, Health and Equity
In rich industrial countries the (over)consumption of foodstuffs, especially of animal origin, is particularly pronounced.
In contrast to this, large parts of the world are affected by malnutrition and hunger. The framing of this lecture and the follow-up discussion will focus on connections and cause-effect mechanisms that – often unknowingly – bind these two ‘worlds’.

When the scent of cumin seed envelops us, we are in the middle of the mortar for the perfect spice–mix of an aromatic lentil dhal.

Silent?Cooking – cook with us on the sound carpet!
Today sound artist Susa Gunzer and musician Stef M. Froelich accompany our cooking.
Here verbal communication steps into the background making room for moods and spontaneous ideas.
Sound and cooking ideas of the participants inspire each other. Spontaneous improvisations in sound and cooking together become a performative occasion.

The geographic home of the Grand Hotel on a plate: Swabian home-made meals!
Marianne, our 80-year old Grand Dame of cuisine, takes you with her into the world of the recipes she partly knows from her grandmother. In addition to vegan classics like potato salad, she also shows, in collaboration with Lena-Marie, surprising newly veganised recopies, such as bread dumplings with mushroom sauce.

Cooking according to the Grand Cuisine concept: we meet in the kitchen, check out the larder, and let ourselves be inspired by what‘s there. Then we discuss and get going with the support of the Grand Cuisine-experts.
Today we cook alone or in groups with the focus of a glamorous host. From the freedom to improvise from what’s to hand and in the moment, a broad palette of culinary delights will arise for the deluxe evening banquet.

18 Knabbereien, Filmabend „Cowspiracy“, Diskussion

‘Cowspiracy’ is a diverting documentary that shows with wit and tempo how our eating behaviours impact on living conditions on the planet; what the consumption of animal products does to us and the world; and which lobbies represent interests in these fields.
The film is accompanied by treats prepared by the kitchen.
We welcome a lively exchange to conclude the evening.
The film will be shown in English with German subtitles.

By now an institution at the Grandhotel: the Vegan Bring Along Brunch, this time in honour of the Tasty-Peace-Week. Together we test and taste tasty, vegan ‘bring alongs’ und exchange new recipes. As always, the café-bar supplies provides drinks. The food we bring ourselves. Hungry? Pack something tasty and come by! We’ll be delighted. Academy participants will be fed by the Grandhotel.

20 Live in concert: Pecco Billo
Ein Angebot aus unserem offenen Rahmenprogramm: Zum Veranstaltungskalender.
For those who don’t know yet, Pecco Billo are seven guys and they’ve got a hip hop band. They believe in boom and clack and have their own sound: live, out-of-it and breezing past pop, rock and hip hop standards.
