Working journey
It has now been three years since the founding of the Grandhotel Cosmopolis. Our goal was and is to shape a more fair society that includes everyone – no matter whether we have lived here for many years or whether we have only just arrived. Our aim is to facilitate encounters on equal footing and to make it possible for each and every individual to thrive as a human being.
But how does the Grandhotel really work?
In our turbulent workaday lives, we rarely take a moment to consider our interactions with one another. Now, with funding from the German Federal Cultural Foundation and Robert Bosch Foundation, we have the opportunity to reflect upon and our daily activities and learn from and gain knowledge. We are on a working journey – towards a Grandhotel methodology.
Grandhotel Cosmopolis Peace Conference
At the end of July, the working journey will summit at the »Grandhotel Cosmopolis Peace Conference 2015«. An open creation process for one and all, it offers numerous opportunities to participate. It views the city as a laboratory, is a place for learning and play, a stage and atelier. Together with YOU and experts from around the world, we will shape this summer! The »Grandhotel Cosmopolis Peace Conference 2015« is to take place from July 26 to August 8 at various locations, but particularly at C* (in the meadow between Provino Club and the Textile Museum). A number of events will be announced online at short notice and others will simply take place without announcement. The Peace Conference kick-off is scheduled for July 26, 2015 – starting at noon, join us for the opening at C* and stay on for a while.
»There is this flowing, voluntary streaming or growing inherent in all practicing, playing, working, in fact in all doing as well as in natural processes, if they are healthy – a completely different quality than in the socalled right thing, the ordinary or otherwise sufficient measure.« – Pär Ahlbom
Our fields of research
Between July 26 and August 8, we welcome you to join us in shaping an open process at the Peace Conference. Come one, come all – we’ll be cooperatively researching the topics below.
